THE SCHOOL AND ITS SAGA IN A TIME OF NECESSITY
October 16th, 1984 was the day when the foundation stone was laid by Amatu’l Bahá Ruhiyyíh Rabbani and the effort of some positive thinkers was on the process of its unfurling establishments. Though the proposal on the site was to erect a House of Worship, as it was then the Sovereign Sikkim; the necessity of establishing an educational institution was given a priority, after it became one with the Republic of India. This institution was established keeping in view to impart quality education to the children which would help them overcome their difficulties and fear and inculcate a positive attitude in them.
February 15, 1985 Friday was the first stepping- stone on which the classes for Nursery, Lower and Upper K.G started to continue. There was a stir in the locality due to the efforts that were taken to illumine the society. Obviously, the criticism and certain other barriers took their tests of tolerance before their disappearance.
The years rolled on with a change in outlook of the people of Ranipool and their support and co-operation made it possible for the school to gradually upgrade its standard. After the end of one decade, by 1997 the school could raise its gradation to standard X. It was the wish of the organization, pupils and the staff to have their own affiliation, which came true in the year1998 when C.B.S.E, the Board under the National Educational System gave their approval.
The school is situated in the valley of Ranipool, 1 km away from the main township and about 10 km away from the main town, Gangtok, capital of Sikkim. The school lies amidst the serene and beautiful environment of Mother Nature. The compound is surrounded by lush green meadows, various ferns, flowering plants, decorative leafy plants as well as pine trees, eucalyptus, giant bamboo, slender yellow bamboo and balsam. Blue mountain ranges can be seen everywhere around, filled with green vegetation. Two streams flow on either side of the school compound.
